Other actors prise Thala

Ajith appears to be a hot favourite, loved by one and all. The latest to join the bandwagon of Ajith’s celeb fan club is none other than Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s mother, Shoba Chandrasekar.

Vijay and Ajith teamed up way back in 1995 in the budding stage of their careers  in Rajavin Paarvayile. Vijay’s mother Shoba used to send food for both her son Vijay and also to Ajith routinely.

Thala Ajith is courteous enough to remember her nice gesture even now and reports say he makes a mention of it to Vijay’s mother without fail whenever they meet up in public meets or events. Behindwoods.com reports that Shoba recalled this in a recent interview and also said that she likes Ajith a lot.

English-Vinglish fame Sridevi Kapoor, the yesteryear beauty queen had recently expressed her desire to work with Ajith, if at all Tamil films come her way as she finds Ajith to be a thorough professional and a delight to work with. ‘Thala’ had done a cameo in the film English Vinglish without charging even a rupee.

Last year, Simbu had said that he always loved and admired Ajith. Simbu had called Thala a nice human being and liked the way he carries himself onscreen.

Vijay and Ajith are said to be good friends off-screen. Lauded as a gentleman by co-stars, Ajith had said in an interview to TOI that his wife Shalini and Vijay’s wife Sangeetha bond very well and that their kids also get to spend time together.

Ajith appears to have a fan in Bollywood too. King Khan of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan has been good friends with Ajith ever since they shot for film Asoka, produced by Shahrukh Khan. Shahrukh Khan has always been an admirer of Thala as a wonderful actor and speaks  warmly of him. Shahrukh Khan has also followed Ajith’s Paramasivan hairstyle of matted locks  tied up in his film, Don 2.

Shahrukh had said that he is in awe of Ajith and added that only he could do a role with a negative shade as in Mankatha, that too in a mature look with salt and pepper hair.

Director Vijay had asked Ilayathalapathy Vijay recently to mull over working with Thala together in a film. Vijay had then said  that it depends on the directors and the script.
Thala Yuvan songs composed

Composer Yuvan Shankar Raja has tweeted that he has completed 3 songs for the Ajith – Vishnuvardhan untitled movie. He also said that there is going to be a mass intro song for Ajith after quite a long time and this has been rendered by the majestic Shankar Mahadevan. In Billa, this trio’s previous work, Ajith had a peppy intro song ‘Sevar Kodi Parakkudhada’ sung by Vijay Yesudas. Have to see if that magic can be repeated again, this time around. Shankar Mahadevan had previously been involved in intro songs for Ajith in movies like Kireedom and Thirupathi as well. It must be noted that despite being in production for more than a year or so, just three songs have been composed till now. Looks like fans have to wait some more time for the release of the music and even more for the movie’s release.

Ajith impresses Sri Devi

Sri Devi, the first Female Super Star of Indian Cinema, participated in Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi (the Tamil version of KBC). By the end of the shoot, Sri Devi reported that she would be delighted if she worked with Thala Ajith once again.

NVOK is currently being hosted by actor/director/producer Prakash Raj and it is aired on Star Vijay TV. At the end, the program crew and the audience wished Sri Devi for the upcoming New Year. The 'ever-16' actor sadly told that she very rarely speaks Tamil. She also admitted the only way she keeps in touch with Tamil is through watching Tamil movies, especially Thala Ajith's. She added that she likes Tamil comedies which keeps her smiling even through tough situations.

It was also reported by The Hindu that Sri Devi would land her daughter in Tamil Cinema once she is grown up. When she was asked whom she would act with, she replied like a pistol shot that only with Thala Ajith. She told that Ajith is a thorough professional and a delight to work with.

Earlier in 2012, Sri Devi's comeback to Tamil Cinema was with the film English Vinglish. Thala Ajith has done a cameo-appearance in that movie- that is between the scene of air travel of Sri Devi from India to USA. She praised Thala Ajith for working without demanding even a penny.

Bony Kapoor, a producer and the husband of Sri Devi, was impressed with Ajith's humility and simplicity. Boney Kapoor had said that Ajith is a wonderful human being and a fine actor.

Ajith is Honesty ManivannanManivannan is very much interested in participating in social activities and public services. Recently there was  a protest against the Sri Lankan Government in which many actors and some politicians fasted for a day, including himself. Growing actors like Surya and Vikram, and mass actors like Thala Ajith cancelled their shooting and participated with kind hearts.

Actor Joseph Vijay was also invited, but many of the protesters were disappointed with his absence. Meanwhile, he was in his shooting with Amala Paul and Santhaanam in Australia for the film 'Thalaiva'.

Manivannan noted this very carefully today he made this shocking statement,

“Ajith isn’t like that. He has even dissolved his own fan clubs. In my opinion he, Suriya and Vikram are the epitomes of honesty.”

Ajith's accident in Mumbai

In Mumbai, Ajith Kumar escaped an accident that occurred while shooting for director Vishnu's untitled project. However, Ajith Kumar got only minor injuries in the accident. Ajith Kumar is being treated by specialist doctors in Mumbai.

Ajith Kumar got injuries in his leg. This occurred while doing an action sequence for the film. The scene involved Ajith Kumar who had to jump from one car to another car. While doing it, he slipped and got ligament injuries. That was a very tough sequence, but it was Ajith Kumar who denied to use a dupe for the sequence and did it by himself. All his fans and even anti-fans know that Ajith Kumar always hated to use dupes. The injury affected his right-leg very much, even though he escaped an accident that would have probably killed him.

Immediately, the shooting was paused by Vishnu and Ajith Kumar was taken to first-aid. Doctors too arrived quickly and treated him for few hours. Ajith Kumar, after the treatment, felt well and continued his shoot.

Asst. Director Kesavan, immediately mailed us that on Ajith's leg the front wheel of the car had run over. After this director Vishnu planned to complete this scene with dupe. But, Thala denied Vishnu's plans and he came forward willingly to finish the scene by himself.

"Thala Pola Varuma???"

The other casts of this movie are Tapasee Pannu, Nayantara, Arya, Atul Kulkarni, Mahesh Manjrekar and Suman Ranganathan. Rana will play a cameo appearance. And as usual, the music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The producer is made known by the name A.M. Rathnam.

Ajith Kumar plays a role of an IT Hacker in this untitled project. He is also surprising all directors especially Vishnu, with his new stunning muscular body. The latest schedules of the movie is expected to be more than 75 days. We have vividly described about this in the previous posts.

Thala Ajith Kumar's fans were at great sorrow when they heard about the accident but now they are at great joy when they hear that he has simply completed his shoot.

It is notable that Ajith Kumar has already attended 14 operations in his backbone. He is great, isn't it?

Recently The Hindu newspaper of India has released a statement about Vidyut Jamwal, let's read it:
Vidyut Jammwal and Ajith

Call it a quirk of fate or a coincidence but most of Vidyut Jamwal’s films have had a strong regional connect. He debuted as a menacing villain in Force, the Hindi remake of Gautham Menon’s Kaakha Kaakha. Soon, he went on to sign Telugu and Tamil movies. Small roles in NTR’s Oosaravelli and Shakti apart, he was also part of Ajith’s Billa 2 (David Billa in Telugu). Vidyut is looking forward to some fireworks this Deepavali, as A.R.Murugadoss’s Thuppakki gets ready for release.

His rigorous training in martial arts and his zeal for fitness, in a way, earned him the role.

“My first meeting with Murugadoss was incredible. He had come to Mumbai and I got to meet him exactly for four minutes. He commented that I had a good physique. In a matter of minutes, he said I was part of the film,” says Vidyut.

The next few months gave him the opportunity to work with cinematographer Santosh Sivan, Murugadoss and actor Vijay. “They are amazing people who worked in complete harmony with each other. I had expected clash of egos but there were none,” says Vidyut.

Simply put, Thuppakki is the story of a cop (Vijay) tracking down a terrorist (Vidyut) who wants to unleash terror in Mumbai. “I had a blast playing the antagonist. The film has superb action sequences. Being a villain and doing stunt sequences has its benefits. In both Billa 2 and Thuppakki, I got to work closely with Ajith and Vijay. The two actors are so secure about themselves that they are beyond petty conflicts,” says Vidyut.

Vidyut observes that Murugadoss is an excellent actor behind the screens: “He can emote a scene so well making your job easy. I simply had to follow his instructions.”

After Thuppakki, Vidyut is ready for his Commando, a film that will launch him as a solo hero.

“While shooting for Force, Vipul Shah said he would cast me in his next film. I thought he was joking. But he called me three months later and offered me Commando,” says Vidyut. For the film, he used his expertise in Kalaripayattu and Gatka for the action sequences. “We’ve finished shooting 80 per cent of the film,” he adds.

For an actor who got noticed in his debut film, why did it take so long to do another Hindi film? “I thought once Force released, I’d wake up to take many calls from directors and producers. Nothing of that sort happened. I got 10 offers of which I did three,” signs off Vidyut.
